GUESS WHO TREATED HERSELF TO A COOL VEGAN BLUSH TODAY~
Rexall drugstores in Canada carry Emani Minerals, which is really great for anyone into cruelty-free, paraben-free mineral makeup. I picked up their Mineral Blush in Barely There ($15.99). This blush has got the most pretty shimmer to it so it’s almost more of a highlight. The colour comes off as a really subtle peach, which is exactly what I was looking for. (Sometimes I don’t feel like wearing foundation etc but there’s a lot of redness on my face so pinker blushes are off-limits) Top swatch is a heavy application and below is sheered out. Really nice, right? Even better, the formula is super soft and blendable and one hell of a joy to apply.
OVERALL, THIS OWNS AND I AM HAPY AND MY CHEEKBONES ARE HAVING A PARTY
!!! important: sephora has starting carrying more OCC products, including the nail polish. vegan and cruelty free.

Yesterday, a friend and I went to Sephora (we both had store credit and I had a $20 coupon! wooo!). While we were there, I picked up a sample of the sort-of-new Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup since I’ve been really curious about it. I was matched to shade 3.0 (the “3” means “light shade” while “.0” means gold undertones) and it’s actually a totally perfect match, hooray!
Today I am testing it out and I definitely really like it so far. It’s super runny and liquidy, which means that it blends easily and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. The coverage isn’t AMAZING, though I’m actually okay with that since one application takes care of most of my redness, but it’s buildable if you need a lil more in certain areas. The finish is realllllly nice, also. It’s very natural: somewhere between matte and dewy. Basically, my skin looks like my skin, but clearer! IT’S COOL.
If this doesn’t break me out by the time the sample’s finished, I would DEFINITELY like to actually buy this. or maybe not because of the L’Oreal thing oops. idk. I like this a lot, though!
ps: here is a list the other stuff on my face just fyi: UD Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Crush (perfect hot pink), UD Twice Baked & Half Baked eyeshadows (from their Vegan palette), the darker shade from the Emani Minerals eyebrow/liner duo in blonde in my crease, UD 24/7 liner in perversion, the blush from the e.l.f. contouring blush/bronzer cream duo
this is my Urban Decay Vegan Palette and it is lovely and awesome (came with a 24/7 eyeliner in Zero, also) but I only use the bottom 3 shades because the top ones are way too glittery for me to handle.
isn’t the packaging soooOoooo nice though? please do another vegan set, Urban Decay!

The things I think about instead of studying:
- Here, we drive on the right and walk on the right side of stairs, hallways, sidewalks, and the like. If they drive on the left side on the road in England, does that means that they walk on the left side too?
- JASON SCHWARTZMAN
- richie tenenbaum
- Vegan nachos
- That new poutine place in Edmonton has VEGAN POUTINE.
- In Australia, do they listen to the same Christmas songs as we do in North America? I feel like “Winter Wonderland” would be pretty irrelevant.
- Winning that 50$ Visa gift card from a survey on my math homework site
- How I always write the dollar sign on the right because of French immersion schooling
- Despite not seeing my boyfriend in over a week, and likely not for another week, and being in the midst of final exams, I just may be the happiest I’ve ever consistently been. Life is good these days.
